Yeovil Bowls & Squash Club Ltd
The club recognises the importance of protecting children and young people from the harms of secondhand smoke, and wishes to act as a role model to denormalise smoking.
The club and its grounds will be smokefree at all times when young people are present, both when training and competing at the club.
The policy applies to everyone entering the club grounds - including staff, coaches, volunteers, officials, parents, carers, players and visitors.
Smoking is not allowed at all times in the following areas:
In any of the buildings
Between the Squash Courts and Main Pavilion
On the raised patio in front of the Old Pavilion
On the South surround of the Outdoor Green.
The use of e-cigarettes and vaping devices is also not permitted.
Smoking anywhere on the premises is banned between the hours of 3.30 p.m and 6.30 p.m every Monday and at certain other times – at the discretion of the Board (e.g when a Junior Competition is in progress). Such occasions will follow recommendations from the Club’s Welfare Officer(s).
Smoking is allowed at other times as follows:
On any of the car parks – but at least 6 metres, from doors and windows.
On the North, West and East surrounds of the Outdoor Green – but not in front of the windows and only when bowling has ceased.
